Oh,  how I wish I could find the morning-after inspiration to write a story from all the random thoughts that float around in my head when I'm trying to fall asleep. But because a good night's rest frequently escapes me, I resist the urge to get out of bed and start pecking away at the keys of my laptop. And by morning, most of the ideas that popped into my head jumped over the fence with sheep number 529.

It seems that every time I write something that I think is passable, it results as a possibility of publication. Don't get me wrong--it's not the motivation of money or even notoriety. It's just that I have trouble getting those random thoughts to really gel into a story line. I'm not sure why it's so hard for me, especially when writing is my passion.

At any rate, to those reading these pages,  feel free to pass along ideas . . . I'd love to turn them into a story!

I Want To Be Like Mary

Picture
In Martha Stewart's heyday, some friends presented me with a t-shirt with a telling caption emblazoned on the front: I want to be like Martha! The b*%#h can do anything!  At the time, I took it as a compliment--the Martha's of the world are driven to succeed. But now, a little older and a lot wiser, I find that being too much of a Martha can be both a curse and a blessing . . . I want to be like Mary!
